EMERGING LEADERS

Emerging Leaders is a new programme from Young H&F designed to help young people to jumpstart their careers.

Delivered in partnership with Hammersmith & Fulham Council, this paid participation programme is for young people aged 14-21 (up to 25 years with SEND) living in Hammersmith & Fulham. The programme has been developed to build confidence, develop leadership and communication skills, and influence how opportunities for young people are shared across the borough.

What young people will gain

Participants will:

  • Build confidence in speaking, presenting & sharing ideas

  • Develop leadership and communication skills useful for work and education

  • Work collaboratively with other young people across the borough

  • Contribute to a research project exploring how opportunities can better reach a range of young people

  • Present recommendations to local stakeholders

  • Receive £100 upon completing the programme (or £100 in vouchers if under 16) recognising the time, insight and expertise young people have contributes

What the programme involves

  • 1 full-day training session

  • 3 facilitated research meetings

  • Independent self-study

  • Final presentation of research and recommendations

The training day will take place on 31st March in Hammersmith & Fulham (10am-4pm). All programme participants must be available to take part on this date.
