MEET THE TEAM

  • A portrait of Alesha Bhakoo, the Marketing and Communications Manager for Young Hammersmith & Fulham.

    Alesha Bhakoo

    Marketing & Communications Manager
If you’ve seen a post that made you smile (or cringe), chances are Alesha was behind it. She brings the organisation’s personality to life through creative content and storytelling, making sure the Young Hammersmith & Fulham community feels seen, heard and genuinely connected to the work being done. With a background in communications and a love for all things expressive, Alesha wants to make sure the whole Young Hammersmith & Fulham community feels connected to the important work we do. When she's not creating content and engaging our community, you can find her swimming lengths or going nowhere fast at Hammersmith Boom Cycle.

  • A portrait of Sophie Clifton Grants & Partnerships Manager for Young Hammersmith & Fulham

    Sophie Clifton

    Grants & Partnerships Manager
Sophie has the best job (in her humble opinion) supporting members and young people by giving out grants, managing partnerships, and facilitating our youth advisory board. With experience across the political, private, and voluntary sectors, she’s genuinely passionate about youth-led change and community power. When she’s not championing our community’s voices, you’ll find in motion - hiking somewhere green, doing Pilates, or power-walking toward Blanche Eatery in Hammersmith - not just for the coffee, but because they give out free croissants in the morning. Yup, free.
    You're welcome.

  • Eren - Supplementary Schools Manager

    Eren Deol

    Supplementary Schools Manager
Eren supports supplementary schools across Hammersmith, Fulham and Ealing, making sure young people can access high-quality learning in spaces that reflect their identity and culture. She’s here to champion the needs of these schools, guide them through the grants process, and help communities build strong, sustainable foundations. With a background in youth work, mental health services, children’s homes, schools and play settings, Eren brings a wealth of experience – and a big heart – to everything she does. When she’s not busy connecting with schools you’ll find her at Westfield – but not for the shopping. Eren loves the the food court there - so if you ever need a lunch recommendation - you know who to ask.

  • A portrait of Gareth Dixon Chief Executive of Young H&F’s ship speaking on stage with a microphone.

    Gareth Dixon

    Chief Executive
Gareth has been at the helm of Young H&F’s ship since the organisation started in April 2017. Gareth oversees our membership growth, grant-making functions, and youth voice work. It’s no casual kickabout in Hurlingham Park, but with a background in community development and a passion for supporting organisations that make a real impact on young people’s lives, he’s more than up for the challenge. Outside of work, you will find Gareth enjoying a kickabout. As a big QPR fan his favourite spot is obviously Loftus Road Stadium - so when he’s not at work, you'll find him there
    - sometimes when there’s not even a match on.

  • Saif Jamali - Impact Manager

    Saif Jamali

As our Impact Manager, Saif is the one measuring, learning, and amplifying the difference Young H&F and our community members make for young people, families, and communities across the borough. With over seven years of experience in programme design, delivery, and evaluation, Saif is all about turning data into stories that matter. When he’s not deep in the data, you’ll probably find him browsing the small bookshop at Hammersmith Broadway or swapping coffee for a cuppa at Carbon Kopi. We know what you’re thinking ‘he’s not a coffee guy? How can we trust him?!’. Don’t worry - we’ve done our due diligence. He’s sound.

  • Szintia Pesti, Project Support & Administrative Officer, young in Hammersmith and Fulham organization office, speaking and gesturing while seated at a table

    Szintia Pesti

    Project Support & Administrative Officer
Szintia originally joined the team as an intern and now supports Young H&F as Project Support and Admin Officer, keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes and helping make life a WHOLE lot easier for the rest of the team. With a keen interest in the voluntary sector and a love of learning, Szintia is always looking for ways to improve how we support the incredible work happening across the borough. When she’s not wrangling inboxes and spreadsheets, she’s usually planning their next adventure or finding new ways to escape into nature. Her fave borough view has got to be the iconic Hammersmith Bridge that has finally reopened! The river on a clear day is proof that admin life can still come with a pretty decent backdrop.

  • A portrait of Hannah Smale, the Community Membership & Sector Development Manager, in the foundation office holding a Young Hammersmith & Fulham foundation's mug and a croissant

    Hannah Smale

Community Membership & Sector Development Manager
Hannah looks after our brilliant community members and guess what? She’s perfect for the role because she loves connecting with people who are passionate about creating opportunities for young people. Hannah started out in dance and music education and has continued working in the charity sector, drawn to roles that bring together creativity, community and purpose. With a background in Music, she’s happiest when surrounded by the arts - especially live music. She may or may not have attended Glastonbury an unhealthy number of times (it’s fine, everything’s fine), and is always up for a new adventure. Her local hidden gem is Delina’s in Shepherd’s Bush Market - home to some of the most delicious Ethiopian food in the borough…and an excuse to never pack lunch again.
