YOUTH VOICE
Youth voice sits at the heart of everything we do. Through our Young H&F Collective and Young H&F Grant Makers programme, we create spaces where young people can lead conversations, influence decisions, and shape the future of youth work in Hammersmith & Fulham.
Young H&F Collective
The Young H&F Collective gives young people the space to lead, question, and influence the way youth work is delivered across the borough.
Formerly known as our Youth Advisory Board, the Collective brings together passionate young people across the borough, to influence decision-making across Young H&F and beyond. Their role is broad and self-directed - they decide what they want this space to be, and we’re here to support them into realising and fulfilling their vision.
In the past, Collective members have led peer research exploring how external factors affect young people’s mental health, helped to shape our Small Grants criteria, acted as a sounding board for community organisations, and joined our Youth Worker Forums to share insights directly with professionals in the sector.
At its heart, the Collective is about collaboration, learning, and amplifying local young voices - making sure that that the people we work for are not just part of the conversation, but helping to lead it.
Young Grantmakers
Since 2019, our Young Grantmakers have been making funding decisions that directly impact the lives of young people in Hammersmith & Fulham.
Each year, a panel of young people aged 14–25 come together to decide how grants should be allocated to local youth projects. They review applications, discuss priorities, and distribute funding to the ideas they believe will make the biggest difference.
The programme gives young people genuine decision-making power - not just a seat at the table, but control of the purse strings.
