BUILDINGS FOR YOUNG PEOPLE ALLIANCE

Formed in early 2025, the Buildings for Young People Alliance is a coalition of building-based youth clubs, working to protect, strengthen, and champion physical spaces for young people in Hammersmith & Fulham.

Across London and indeed the whole of the UK, we’ve seen the impact of lost youth spaces. Rising costs, redevelopment, and funding pressures have led to the closure or repurposing of buildings that once supported thousands of young people. The need for safe, accessible and well-resourced spaces hasn’t gone away, but in many places, the space itself has.

Young H&F is committed to changing that story.

Supported by us, the alliance is currently made up of: Masbro Youth Club; Sulgrave Youth Club; The Brunswick Club for Young People; West Youth Zone; Sands End Associated Projects in Action and Action on Disability. It has been formed out of a growing need to demonstrate the value, and the variety, of youth spaces and is here to make the case for investment in the infrastructure that young people need.

Get Involved

If you’d like to support the Building for Young People Alliance or if your organisation has a physical youth space in Hammersmith & Fulham we’d love to hear from you. Whether you want to share your experience, shape the direction of the Alliance, or get involved in future campaigns, there’s a role for you in this growing movement.

The Buildings for Young People Alliance is currently focused on:

  1. Campaigning and advocacy – We’re raising the profile of building based youth clubs in local conversations working with key stakeholders to protect and invest in these vital places.

  2. Support and connection – We’re holding space for these building-based youth clubs to share learning, explore challenges, and collaborate on solutions.
